Angel Lights

The Angel Lights connect various points of interest all along the #LAWaterfront, from San Pedro to Wilmington. Whether you’re playing at Wilmington Waterfront Park, taking a walk on the cruise ship promenade, or enjoying a sunset at the Cabrillo Way Marina be sure to look for the clusters of Angel Lights, which are not only visually beautiful, but have historical significance and intentional design. The Lights are replicas of the art deco lampposts identical to the outdoor fixtures that could be found at the Wilmington Cruise Ship Terminal and Matson Terminal in the 1950s.

Angel Lights…

What makes the lights gems is that they are a subtle, but striking reminder of the Waterfront’s connection to the Port of LA’s rich history as well as to the Pacific Ocean and the city of Los Angeles. Each light post features etchings of seahorses, flying fish, dolphins, and angelfish and has signature incandescent angel wings, representing the City of Angels, home to the LA Waterfront and the nation’s busiest container port.

Bollards at Night

Artistic elements accent the public open space. Mirroring the illumination of downtown San Pedro, LED lights are strung among the palm trees, identical street pole lights outline the plaza’s perimeter, and "Warner Grand" art deco pathway bollards dot the water’s edge.
